A manifesto by Project BANG Amsterdam
Liner notes

We grew up in electronic music. Fifteen years in it, ten building the brands and sites behind its festivals. This is what we believe about the work behind the work.

Side AThe work
A1

The night is the product.

Not the spreadsheet. Every hour spent rebuilding the same lineup five times is an hour that never reached the stage.

A2

Repetition is not craft.

We automate what repeats, so people can spend themselves on what never should.

A3

Time saved is time moved.

To the visitor. The walk from the gate, the second the lights go down. Nobody can automate that, and it's the only part anyone remembers.

A4

Software can carry a brand. It can't have one.

Taste belongs to the people who make the night. Good tools take it further without flattening it.

Side BHow we work
B1

The machine serves the music.

This scene was built by people who picked up drum machines before anyone told them how. AI is the next machine. We build it in on purpose, for the tedious and the repetitive. Never for the taste or the last word.

AI-driven. Not AI-dependent.
B2

A fan is a person.

Not a data point. We ask before we collect, say why, and delete when asked.

B3

If it says live, it's live.

No vapourware, no made-up numbers. In an industry that runs on hype, that is our statement.

B4

From the scene, for the scene.

Six nights a year deserves the same tools as one weekend for 100,000. Raise the whole floor, then do it again next season.

In a few years nobody will remember the tools.

They'll remember the nights.
